Job Description

As the Billing Specialist, this role is responsible for delivering excellence in service and contributing to the mission of protecting businesses, people and time. This role will focus on accurate and timely invoicing to our customers. This position is also responsible for ensuring all payments are received within the defined terms. The Customer Relations Account Specialist is responsible for collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Invoice assigned customers timely and accuratelyAddress billing questions and discrepancies timelyVerify invoice procedures and validate customer contractsEnsure payments for assigned customers are received within terms by managing their open Accounts ReceivablesCommunicate with internal and/or external customersCollaborate with the Field to complete tasks in a timely mannerAct as a resource for other functions within AWPProvide training and support as requestedEstablish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
 

QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3-5 years AR/Billing experience preferredPay application, lien waiver, and contract management experience preferredStrong customer service skillsBasic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skillsDemonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsOutgoing & assertive personality – not afraid to approach individualsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferredWest – Prelude, American ContractorNorth & South – Salesforce, Great PlainsMountain – TCR, ME Great PlainsCentral – TCR, Sage

Additional InformationHours of operation are M-F, 7:30-3:30 - with some flexibility when needed for regular 8-5 business hours40-hour work week29-31/hrPrimarily sedentary or working at a deskOccasionally lift and move 10 -25 poundsWhile performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hearProficient literacyThe employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
