Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, is seeking a Billing Specialist for a high growth construction firm in San Diego.

Direct Hire | Onsite | Salary range $55K-65K based on experience  

Position Summary
Manage billing, collections, and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and timely accounts receivable transactions while maintaining compliance with California financial regulations.
Responsibilities Manage the full billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely invoice preparation and submission. Review project contracts to ensure compliance with billing schedules and terms. Verify billing accuracy by reviewing invoices. Improve billing and collection processes; implement workflow tools. Coordinate with business unit leads, corporate accounting teams, and clients to ensure proper billing account setup and reconciliation of AR. Prepare and review monthly accounts receivable aging reports for senior management. Follow up on the collection of delinquent accounts receivable monthly. Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve billing issues and provide clarifications. Manage cash flow forecasts and ensure operational liquidity. Maintain customer communication for approvals and pending change orders. Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports. Provide excellent customer service for billing and payment inquiries. Qualifications  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). 2+ years of billing experience. Proficient in Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
