Billing Specialist
Billing Specialist Job Description The Invoice Associate, reporting to the Order to Cash Manager, will be responsible for maintaining master data for a subset of our customer base, ensuring invoices are sent timely and accurately. This role is crucial in producing accurate and timely customer billing, dealing with and reducing invoice queries and credit notes, ensuring accurate recording of revenue and debtors, and contributing to high levels of customer service through prompt and accurate billing and minimization of queries. Responsibilities + Produce accurate and timely customer billing, dealing with and reducing invoice queries and credit notes. + Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered. + Respond promptly to requests to resolve queries and correct the source of errors, including the investigation of errors and queries, identification of root causes, and agreement and communication of resolution. + Reconcile reported revenue against invoicing records to ensure accurate records are maintained. + Assist with accounting for accrued and deferred income in line with agreed processes and procedures. Essential Skills + 2 years of billing and invoicing experience (complex and high volume) + Experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred) + Intermediate Excel skills (including advanced formulas) + Experience with accrued income and credit control Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with different databases and software - tech-savvy + Experience interpreting contracts + Knowledge of credit controls + Understanding of general accounting procedures + Proficient in data entry and management + Strong analytical skills + Excellent problem-solving abilities Work Environment The role involves handling a high volume of complex invoicing (100-150 invoices). The position is hybrid, with in-office work required every other Thursday and additional time for onsite training as needed. The schedule is flexible and fluid, based on senior management's availability. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM, with flexibility for lunch breaks.
