Job Summary:
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for maintenance of the revenue cycle management for EXOS Institute locations as well as will be responsible for training of new billing and client facing positions as it relates to the EXOS Institute PT business. This role will be responsible for scheduling, verifying insurance benefits and management of client services at their local institute.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately verifies insurance benefits and completes verification summaries including completion of insurance verification forms.
Accurate and timely completion of assigned MBO queues in pre-registration, charge review, and claim edits.
Adheres to productivity and quality standards set forth by Administrative Leadership.
Answers the phone calls in a timely manner, assists or directs the caller to the appropriate person or department.
Documents, tracks, and communicates any concerns regarding any work queue and/or insurance verification problems to the Facility Manager and PT Director.
Maintains active credentials to all assigned payor portals
Has ability to manage A/R for multiple clinical locations.
Is proficient in EMR platforms, in particular, WebPT. Maintains client relations through scheduling therapy appointments, massage appointments and timely communications with clients via email or phone.
Will communicate with billing specialists at other clinical locations to ensure revenue cycle management is up to date and appropriately tracked.
An Ideal Candidate would have:
A Bachelor’s Degree
2 years of experience in an administrator/front desk role in a medical office (ie physician, physical therapy, chiropractor, dental office)
Previous physical therapy billing experience
Excellent communication skills and organization
The ability to coordinate internal and external communications in a professional and timely manner
An understanding of HIPAA Laws and Protected Health Information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Sheet/Docs
Experience with an electronic medical records system preferred
Experience working with former/current professional athletes
