Freese and Nichols is seeking a BIM/CAD Revit Designer. Though our preference is to have someone in our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, we are open to considering people in any of our locations. As a BIM/CAD Revit Designer in our Corporate Business Technology team, you will play a critical role in advancing workflows, processes, and standards, with a focus on continuous improvement, quality, and consistency. This role involves training staff, executing the BIM/CAD Annual Operating Plan, and driving the adoption of innovative technologies.
You will collaborate with various teams, clients, vendors, and project architects and engineers to support project production and manage large, complex Revit projects. The position also includes handling advanced design assignments independently, utilizing expertise in architecture and engineering principles while adhering to company and industry standards.
Update and maintain Revit templatesBuild and manage Revit families for projectsProvide over-the-shoulder Revit trainingDocument new Revit standards and processesPerform quality control (QC) model reviewsPerform parametric modeling for advanced design needsAssist in managing AVAIL for optimized content organization and accessibilityAssist in new project setup for both in-house and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction CloudUnderstand project requirements, scope of work, and deliverables to ensure alignment with objectivesCoordinate work sharing within the team and collaborate on design efforts with other disciplinesEnsure outputs are professional, adhere to prevailing standards, and meet project specificationsDevelop and implement new processes to enhance consistency, quality, and efficiencyLead BIM/CAD activities on projects, as neededManage the BIM/CAD library for the discipline, as necessaryQualifications8+ years' experience in BIM/CAD drafting and design with a broad base in engineering design and technical support of architecture and engineeringHigh School diploma or equivalentPreferred
