Job Description:

Create 3D models for industrial projects and generate complete construction plans from them using engineer provided contract drawings, integrating skilled architectural/engineering drafting methods and procedures with the operation and application of CAD software in the construction industry.

This role will focus primarily on the Process Mechanical and MEP aspects of Water/Wastewater Treatment plants.

Very little (almost no) travel to project sites is required and it will be based out of our Westerville Corporate Headquarters.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Create detailed 3D models, scale drawings, and material and equipment bill-of-material requirements for complex projects from sketches, measurements, and standard layouts provided by customers, consultants and/or departmental contactsInterface with team members to obtain details and specifications for project requirementsReview and manipulate electronic files received from consultants and departmental contactsRevise CAD drawings and plans to represent “as-built” conditionsCoordinate closely with Project Teams (civil, mechanical, and electrical) to develop federated 3D BIM modelsReview models and identify conflicts using clash detection

Education and Experience:

Experience with Autodesk Programs (including AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks)Previous 3D modeling and/or construction detailing experience is preferredPlant 3D and/or Revit experience is a strong plusMicrosoft Office productsBroad understanding of construction
