As long as the 4o hours for the week are finished, you could leave the office early on Friday if your duties are complete. Typical work hours are 8:30AM-3:30PM but it can be shifted slightly. JOB DESCRIPTION: Actalent is looking for an individual to join a General Contractor and a VDC/MEP Coordinator to work in their Columbus, Ohio office. The coordinator will be responsible for the VDC/BIM 3D coordination of high profile and exciting construction projects in Ohio. Responsibilities include: + Working with construction teams to facilitate collaboration and communication for the designing and modeling process of entire HVAC, Mechanical, and Electrical systems on projects + Develop 3D models of MEP Building systems in Revit + Develop 3D Navisworks models used from BIM coordination of all trades + Use Navisworks to run clash detection, develop clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and participate in the BIM coordination process + Follow established VI standards for modeling and production drawings + Prepare prefabrication and installation drawings + Read and interpret submittals, architectural, structural, electrical, piping, plumbing, and mechanical drawings MUST HAVES: + HS Diploma or GED equivalent + A degree or certification in Computer Aided Drafting, 3D Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or other construction related fields + BIM experience + Revit (MEP) + 2-4 years of experience preferred in HVAC, Mechanical Piping, Electrical, or Plumbing in Revit + Read and Interpret RFI's, submittals, and construction documents NICE TO HAVES: + MEP and HVAC design + Commercial construction experience + 3D Modeling + Navisworks About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
