Bim Coordinator
Job Title: VDC/MEP CoordinatorJob Description We are looking for an individual to join a General Contractor as a VDC/MEP Coordinator to work in their Columbus, Ohio-based office. The VDC/MEP Coordinator will be responsible for the VDC/BIM 3D coordination of some of the highest profile and exciting construction projects in Ohio. They will work with construction teams to facilitate collaboration and communication for the designing and modeling of entire HVAC/Mechanical & Electrical systems for projects. Responsibilities + Develop 3D models of MEP Building systems in Revit. + Create 3D models used for BIM coordination of all trades. + Use Navisworks to run clash detection, develop clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and participate in the BIM coordination process. + Follow established VI standards for modeling and production drawings. + Prepare prefabrication and installation drawings. + Read and interpret submittals, architectural, structural, electrical, piping/plumbing, and mechanical drawings. Essential Skills + Proficiency in BIM, Revit MEP, and Navisworks. + Experience in MEP engineering, design, and 3D modeling. + 2-4 years of industry experience preferred in HVAC, Mechanical Piping, Electrical, or Plumbing in Revit. + Ability to read and interpret submittals, RFIs, and related construction documents. + High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree or certificate in Computer Aided Drafting, 3D Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or other construction-related fields of study is a plus. + Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments as software is continually changing. Work Environment 90% of the job is in the office and 10% involves driving out to job sites. The role is five days a week with typical hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with the flexibility to shift your schedule. As long as 40 hours are completed in a week, you can leave the office at 12 PM on Fridays.
