ZGF is seeking a talented and motivated BIM Coordinator to support teams in our downtown Vancouver, BC office, where each day we ideate, collaborate and create, supported by a culturally diverse group of architectural professionals, in-house leading-edge technology including digital fabrication, virtual design and realization, and physical modelling.
Our Vancouver team thrives on multi-disciplinary engagement while practicing at the intersection of architecture and urban design and are distinguished by our creative and intellectual curiosity. Reporting to the Architecture department and also working closely with firm-wide Technology team, you will be a ZGF Vancouver office BIM resource working closely with teams from project kick-off to closeout, ensuring model preparations and audits are carried out before sharing externally to project partners.
As a BIM Coordinator, you will…
Serve as an expert resource and mentor helping staff resolve problems arising from the use of Revit on design projects.Monitor project Revit models for issues relating to quality and team efficiency.Create and manage specialized content as needed for multiple project types.Direct teams in the use of firm BIM/Design Technology standards, project organization and best-practices.Support the Design Technology Manager in the implementation of office-wide design software strategies and staff trainingBasic knowledge of programs such as dRofus, Dynamo, Enscape and Ideate Softwares are a benefitHelp ensure proper coordination of design deliverables, including exporting IFC/NWC/CAD/PDF files, COBie data, and schedules.Qualifications:
Have 5+ years of experience using Revit and managing design software on large, complex multi-phase projects and teams, will contribute to multiple projects concurrently.Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering, Architectural and Building Technology Diploma or equivalent experience.Have proven experience self-managing workload.Possess the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly both orally and written.Be an effective collaborator and contributor to a geographically dispersed technology team.Assist the project team with troubleshooting/training and implement workflows in the project with the support of the firm wide BIM StandardsBe experienced with Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) project management.Possess appropriate “soft skills” necessary for working with design professionals in a fast-paced studio environmentApply With:
