Project BIM Lead Role Description: The Project BIM Lead will elevate project design initiatives, ensuring creative solutions for clients. This role collaborates with the BIM Department Manager to mentor designers and engineers, ensuring high-quality project design. The position reports to the BIM Department Manager. Key Responsibilities: + Ensure client satisfaction and recurring business. + Oversee drawing production and quality. + Lead MEPT drawing package production. + Apply design standards in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, NavisWorks, and Bluebeam. + Develop technical tools and troubleshoot for engineering staff. + Work with Project Managers to meet deliverables. + Organize file structure and workflow. + Archive projects at milestones. + Train new designers and engineers. + Provide feedback on project staffing. + Drive continuous improvement and enforce policies. + Facilitate collision prevention in Revit models. Building Model Management: + Participate in BIM coordination meetings. + Manage title blocks, shared parameters, and drawing index. + Archive models and validate LOD and model content. + Coordinate project basepoints and maintain phasing requirements. + Monitor layers, worksets, and filters. + Participate in clash prevention sessions. + Ensure model and CAD file functionality. + Manage revisions. Engineering: + Collaborate with Project Managers on design tasks. + Develop design and engineering skills. + Ensure design compliance with internal standards. Qualifications: + Profound sense of responsibility and accountability for innovation. + Strong collaboration and communication skills. + Proficiency in 3D/BIM models and 2D contract drawings. + Ability to coordinate multidiscipline Revit models. + Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam). + Knowledge of national CAD/BIM standards. Desired Qualifications: + 10+ years of Revit and/or AutoCAD experience. + Autodesk Certified Professional. Education: + Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology/CAD or equivalent experience preferred. Compensation: + $95,000 to $122,000 based on experience and qualifications.
