Job Title: BIM Specialist

Job Description

This BIM Specialist will oversee the BIM process from team to client and ensure deliverables are met per the project schedule, budget, and scope. This includes acting as a field liaison, coordinating models, managing the BIM team, and maintaining clear communication across the team. The role involves managing BIM models for construction, coordinating with other parties involved in the construction process, and assisting in design, planning, and installation with field management. Ownership and accountability for these tasks are critical to the design, planning, coordination, and installation of our commercial construction projects.

ResponsibilitiesLead BIM processes for electrical projects with advanced facility construction clients.Assign tasks, including self-performing when appropriate, set priorities, and monitor progress and QAQC of 3D modeling and 2D drawing deliverables in line with VC Standards.Interpret project schedules, budgets, deliverable requirements, and field requests for planning.Coordinate closely with the prefabrication department.Maintain clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers.Use Revit to produce shop drawings from 3D models.Follow company standards for creating shop drawings from 3D model content.Download drawings and information from online sources, SharePoint, and project websites.Prepare and assemble sets of documents for transmittal to other parties.Work effectively with Virtual Construction and Prefab team members.Understand and adhere to client policies and procedures.Translate verbal and general written direction into appropriate, working design documents.Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.Experience with electrical drafting and construction documents.Competence in producing construction drawings and Revit MEP.Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.Ability to maintain clear communication with various stakeholders.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the semi-conductor industry is a plus.Ability to work on large projects.Strong mentorship and teamwork skills.Work Environment

The BIM Specialist will work in an office environment with strong mentorship and collaboration with the design team and onsite electricians. There is flexibility to work in multiple locations, including Hillsboro or other office locations. Benefits include 7 paid holidays, 40 hours of PTO, and sick time.
