COMPENSATION

$115,000.00 - $165,000.00

The Architecture and Engineering department at Forest Lawn is searching for a BIM Manager to oversee the strategic management and deployment of 3D and 2D modeling and drafting software for all projects, ensuring seamless integration into Forest Lawn's existing systems. This person will lead the development and enhancement of 3D and 2D modeling capabilities, continuously aligning them with the evolving needs of the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Develop and implement BIM and CAD strategies and standards that directly impact Forest Lawn’s business operations and long-term objectives.  Create and maintain BIM and CAD execution plans, protocols, and workflows to ensure consistency across all projects.  Manage software licenses and integration, ensuring tools are optimized for project needs.  Conduct regular evaluations of tools and recommend enhancements to align with evolving organizational priorities.  Oversee BIM and CAD process for multiple projects at different phases, ensuring models are created and managed according to project specifications and industry standards.  Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement innovative solutions to optimize project outcomes.  Provide guidance and act as the decision-maker for project teams and stakeholders on BIM and CAD-related matters.  Create and deliver training and support to enhance organizational BIM and CAD expertise, tailoring strategies to meet the needs of cross-functional teams. Monitor software functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing tools to support project needs. Lead the integration of BIM and CAD project management tools and work with Technology Services department to manage software and licenses, ensuring Forest Lawn remains updated with the latest BIM practices.  Remain abreast with the latest BIM and CAD technologies, tools and industry trends to drive innovation and improve project outcomes. Act as a key advisor on emerging trends, tools, and investment in BIM technologies.   Develop, maintain and Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of BIM and CAD models and data.  Review, advise, and distribute regular updates to department standards. Participate in internal design workshops as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field required. Valid CA Driver’s License, including state required levels of active auto insurance, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle is required.7-10+ Years of experience as a BIM Manager with a background in integrating BIM software and developing BIM standards.3-5+ Years of leadership experience. Strong expertise in BIM and 3D software (such as Revit, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling tools).   Proficiency in CAD drafting practices and software.Strong understanding of BIM and CAD execution planning and experience in creating, managing, and updating protocols, workflows and documentation; ability to ensure models adhere to project specifications and industry standards.  Experience making high-level decisions that impact business operations and project outcomes.  Expertise in managing BIM and CAD processes with minimal supervision, including quality control, process improvement, and cross-departmental coordination.  Proven experience in training and supporting teams on BIM and CAD software and workflows, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.  Strong quality control skills to ensure accuracy and reliability in BIM models and data, with attention to detail and a methodical approach.  Ability to navigate issues relating to architectural coordination and design planning.Collaborative and professional work ethic with the ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational and word processing skills, reliable, dedicated to accuracy and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills; exemplary organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities, serving as the primary resource for BIM and CAD-related inquiries and troubleshooting.  Ability to stay abreast of emerging BI technologies and industry trends, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery.  Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality results within deadlines. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

BIM Certification Preferred.

DRUG TESTING POLICY

Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
