A precast concrete manufacturing company located in the western suburbs of Chicago is looking to add a BIM Modeler to their team! Job Description: + Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats and standards + Work on assigned tasks, under direction of engineering staff, performing, as appropriate, engineering analyses and calculations + Work on assigned tasks, under direction of engineering staff, preparing required documents in CAD or BIM + Work on prospects for sales developing presentations using Revit, Tekla or other 3D modeling platforms + Perform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, and proactively seek advice on tasks as needed + Manage projects efficiency, communicating and coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, etc. + Participate in or lead project meetings + Manage other staff members, as required, when assigned as a Task Leader + Meet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours + Participate in external/in-house seminars and training activities/sessions + Participate in the development of in-house processes, checklists and standards Qualifications: + Minimum of Junior College Associates Degree + 5+ years of work experience in a related field + Ability to model projects in CAD and BIM independently + Precast experience + Familiarity with Tekla + Ability to manage projects independently and communicate/coordinate with clients About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
