Bim Technician

A precast concrete manufacturing company located in the western suburbs of Chicago is looking to add a BIM Designer/Technician to their team!

Job Description:

This individual is responsible for assisting in the preparation of construction documents for projects under the direction of senior staff. This includes CAD and BIM modeling of plans, components, and connections, as well as reports needed for production. Duties include coordination of architectural, civil, structural, and MEP plans, elevations, and details.

Responsibilities:

Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats and standardsWork on assigned tasks, under direction of engineering staff, performing, as appropriate, engineering analyses and calculationsWork on assigned tasks, under direction of engineering staff, preparing required documents in CAD or BIMWork on prospects for sales developing presentations using Revit, Tekla or other 3D modeling platformsPerform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, and proactively seek advice on tasks as neededManage other staff members, as required, when assigned as a Task LeaderMeet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hoursParticipate in external/in-house seminars and training activities/sessionsParticipate in the development of in-house processes, checklists and standards

Qualifications:

Minimum of Junior College Associates Degree2+ years of work experience in a related fieldKnowledge of BIM in a related field (structural or MEP)About Actalent
