BIM/VDC Spring 2025 Internship
Description

Hoar is recruiting qualified applicants for a BIM/VDC internship who are seeking a degree in Building Design Sciences or a related field.

Responsibilities:
Create supplemental models for use in MEP coordination effortsSupport the pre-construction process by producing and adjusting models as required for constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, project scheduling, and cost estimatesCreate virtual mock-ups and other modeling activitiesAssist VDC team in project setup for 3D trade coordination, site logistical planning, and 4D sequencing Support VDC coordination kick-off meetings and subsequent meetingsAssist MEP coordination by working with clash data from trade partner modelsUnderstand how to develop and maintain project coordination schedulesWork with VDC staff to support laser scan services for project teamsSupport setup of VDC field equipment and software (total stations, laser scanner, UAVs)Support one to two VDC deliverables at a time with support from VDC staffRequirements:
Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Building Design Sciences or a related fieldPrior experience with Revit and Navisworks preferredMinimum 2.5 GPACompleted college freshman yearValid Driver's License required
