Seeking Analyst for our West Lafayette location. Conducts sample analysis with data interpretation and basic troubleshooting. Conducts method development and method validation experiments. Assists with general housekeeping of lab and assist other departmental personnel as necessary.
Responsibilities Perform routine sample analysisPerform method development and validation experimentsPrepare solutions for use in analysisProcesses sample results including instrumental analysisMaintain laboratory supply inventoryEnter data into databaseMaintain confidential informationInteract with the community and employeesSupport and participate in other company initiatives as directed by senior management Qualifications*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
Education & Experience:
B.S. in chemistry or biology with at least one year of direct laboratory experienceB.S/B.A in a related science with at least three years of direct laboratory experience orFive years of direct laboratory experience orEquivalent combination of related education and required work experience will be consideredSkills & Abilities:
Good organizational skills.Displays versatility and accuracy performing laboratory operations, some of which may be difficult and/or non-routineAbility to use a computer to compile and maintain databases for records and inventory, utilizing the appropriate softwareAn attitude for quality, an eye for detail, the ability to follow written instructions and work with a minimum of supervisionUnderstanding of GMP/GLP/GCP regulations with the ability to apply these practices dailyA working knowledge and awareness of general laboratory proceduresAbility to use personal computer and various software programsAbility to work independentlyGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to adhere to all safety regulations and proceduresAble to work with various software applications sustained by a Windowsä platform. (Excel, Word,PowerPoint, etc.) as well as general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to, HPLC systems, fluid pumps, balances, pH meters, lab mixers, drying ovens, centrifuges, pipettes, and hand tools
