Job Title: Bioanalytical ScientistJob Description
In this laboratory intensive role, the Scientist, Bioanalytical will provide effective bioanalytical support by designing, executing, testing, analyzing, and reporting results of various biological matrices.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare samples using LLE, SPE, and PPT from various biological matrices.
+ Design and execute in vitro experiments, maintaining and operating UPLC-MS/MS (Waters TQS micro).
+ Independently design various experiments while interacting with internal discovery biologists and external CROs and partners.
+ Develop, validate, and perform analytical assays to measure the concentration of drugs or biomarkers in biological samples such as blood, plasma, and urine to support drug development.
+ Accurately quantify the presence of specific molecules in biological matrices, adhering to strict regulatory guidelines.
+ Analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain detailed documentation to ensure the quality and reliability of results.
+ Design, optimize, and validate new bioanalytical assays using UPLC-MS/MS (Waters TQS micro).
+ Stay updated with new analytical technologies, instrumentation, and regulatory requirements within the bioanalytical field.
Essential Skills
+ Development and method development experience.
+ Experience with peptides, biomarkers, and mass spectrometry.
+ Proficiency in UPLC-MS and in vitro techniques.
+ Bachelor of Science (BS) in biological sciences or related field required; Master’s degree (MS) and/or PhD degree a plus (BS 10 years’), (MS 7+ years), PhD (3+ years) DMPK/Bioanalytical experience working in laboratory. PhD is highly preferred.
+ Small molecule experience and UPLC-MS/MS method development and sample analysis experience required.
+ GLP experience is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Start-up biotech and/or pharmaceutical experience a plus.
+ Experience with MassLynx a plus.
+ Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
+ Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
+ Adept in a variety of sample preparation techniques.
+ Demonstrated experience troubleshooting UPLC-MS/MS method and instrument problems.
+ Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
+ Ability to balance work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Environment
This position requires working in a laboratory setting with advanced technologies and equipment, including UPLC-MS/MS (Waters TQS micro). Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities is essential. The role demands meticulous record-keeping and compliance with company policies. Collaboration with both internal teams and external partners is a key aspect of the job.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $57.69/hr.
