MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides education in biofield energy practices including Reiki to health professionals, community, and volunteers.Partners with volunteer services to coordinate the Reiki program, includes identifying interested volunteers, matching to preferred site, and providing them with onboarding, mentoring and recognition.In conjunction with volunteer services, maintains volunteer records, reports, and forms in accordance with regulatory requirements of volunteer services.Establish, plan, develop, and maintain services to support Reiki volunteers and enrich the experience of patients who receive Reiki.Establish a collaborative work environment with department leaders where biofield energy practices including Reiki are provided to ensure consistency with mission, values and philosophy of Advocate Health and Aurora Health.Collaborates with community agencies to develop partnerships that meet the service needs of all stakeholders.Develops and maintains records to ensure success and demonstrate impact of biofield energy education and related practices.Match volunteers with Reiki training to locations.Coordinates onboarding process of Reiki Volunteer across different hospital or clinic environments. May include coordinating Reiki training, site orientation, and mentoring Reiki volunteers.Partners with volunteer services to Identify and/or address any concerns volunteers have related to Reiki.Supports recognition of Reiki volunteer efforts and morale including thank you notes, volunteer week celebrations, annual recognition event and others.Develops training, data collection tools and reports to ensure success of Reiki Volunteer Program.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

License/Registration/Certification Required: Licensed Health Professional- Massage Therapist, Acupuncturist or Health Coach

Education Required: ​ ​​ Associate degree.  Experienced Reiki Master Teacher

Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of experience working in a large health care system supervising/leading employees or volunteers. Knowledge of patient experience/program outcomes, and the ability to coordinate service provision with multiple business units to grow program. Experience in teaching Reiki level I, II and III/Reiki Master.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

​Specialty-specific experience in areas of responsibility through either clinical training, hospital or practice operations, or other experience.Project management skills (i.e. problem solving, organizing committees/work groups, facilitating meetings, project planning, managing to a project plan)Basic computer knowledge.Epic knowledge base or ability to learn required.Biofield Energy Practice knowledge (Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch, Polarity Therapy, Qi Gong).

Exposed to normal office environment.Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
