Biological Scientist II
Job Description:– Troubleshoot problems with procedures and update written procedures as needed. Assist in maintaining lab supplies and implementing lab safety procedures. Help with permits, EHS/IACUC protocols. Assist in overseeing undergraduates and other members of the lab. Facilitate daily operations. Help with lab and sample/freezer organization.
– Independently perform basic and complex procedures and techniques. Assure fidelity to protocols (may propose modifications to protocols and/or assist in the design of experiment protocols for prospective studies. Test and evaluate current procedures. Design portions of experimental plans. Apply new methods/theories.
Expected Salary:$48,000 - $50,000
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and three years of experience or Master's degree in biology or a related field with one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in working with rodents, animal physiology, and molecular biology preferred.
