Manage complex projects in addition to normal project actions. Interpret and analyze impacts of ESA-related efforts. Consult with experts on land and water resource planning. Oversee preparation and review of an array of technical reports and correspondence. Manage and collaborate on difficult Civil Works related programs and projects. Basic Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position OR A combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional educationIn addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: writing biological assessments; coordinating investigations, analysis and processes pertaining to Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance for water resource projects; AND coordinating and negotiating complex ESA issues, including Biological Opinions, with regulatory agencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Partnering Relationship Building and Sustainment Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
