The anticipated wage for this position is between $25-27.45/hr hourly. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Job Details: We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a background in biology, chemistry, agronomy, or a related field to join our greenhouse team. A bachelor’s degree in these areas is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in plant cultivation, including crop and weed management, and possess strong observational skills to monitor plant health and recognize signs of stress or abnormal growth. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine greenhouse tasks such as seeding, watering, thinning, moving, and occasionally assisting with plant spraying. Apply knowledge of greenhouse practices to support optimal plant care in line with established guidelines. Safely and accurately perform tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality. Qualifications: Familiarity with plant needs, including the ability to recognize growth conditions and potential stress factors. Strong attention to detail, diligence, and accuracy in all tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn additional databases and software. Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs and work extended periods on your feet. Flexibility to adapt to shifting team priorities and possible weekend responsibilities. Work Environment: Greenhouse setting with exposure to dust, pollen, and elevated temperatures. Supervision provided by a manager, with reliance on pre-established procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
