**UW Medical Center-Montlake– Clinical Engineering** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Biomedical Electronics Technician 2** to join our team.
**WORK SCHEDULE**
+ 40 hours per week
+ Day ShiftBiomedical Equipment Technician 2 independently performs complex work as a biomedical technician. Work on patient care or clinical laboratory equipment used at UW Medical Ceter - Montlake. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and calibrates complex and specialized analog and/or electronic patient care, life support, and clinical laboratory equipment or apparatus such as adult and infant volume ventilators, mass spectrometers, diagnostic X-ray equipment, magnetic resonance imaging equipment, computerized tomography scanners, etc.;
+ Uses electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, electrosurgery, safety, and logic analyzers, and other specialized test equipment to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to system, board, or component level; uses and/or creates computer-aided diagnostic software and/or digital logic devices to locate malfunction(s);
+ Performs mechanical, electro-mechanical, or electronic repair(s); performs electronic repairs to system, board, or component level; calibrates and/or tests for proper operation;
+ Constructs computer-interfaced prototypes, microprocessor controlled devices, or tests instruments related to patient care and clinical laboratory equipment or apparatus; generates block diagram(s), designs relevant circuits and circuit board layout(s), writes software to drive microprocessor(s), and selects components; builds using hand and power tools; tests, debugs, and modifies as necessary to ensure proper operation; prepares appropriate documentation such as parts layout(s), schematic(s), and calibration procedure(s);
+ Performs preventive maintenance on patient care and clinical laboratory equipment; tests, diagnoses, adjusts, and calibrates to local, state, and national electrical and fire safety codes;
