TDA Research, Inc. is located outside Denver, Colorado with two locations in Golden and one in Wheat Ridge. We have a staff of 130+ mainly engineers and scientists who develop cutting edge chemical processes, materials, and hardware for customers in the defense, aerospace, energy and chemical industries. TDA carries out R&D in developing prototype devices, catalysis and adsorption, aerospace components, and personal protective equipment. Virtually all staff work on two or three projects simultaneously, therefore, an ability to learn quickly is essential. Under direction of a Senior Engineer, the Biomedical Engineer II-III will perform a variety of research and development tasks to design and develop medical technologies and devices to support and enhance patient care and improve healthcare outcomes. This role will also perform R&D in a chemical and analytical laboratory, including preparing solutions, using analytical tools to identify products, and constructing and testing device prototypes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Execute safe and effective chemical handling techniques
+ Follow detailed instructions when performing established experimental methods
+ Utilizes or develops software to perform testing or integrate with devices
+ Use analytical methods to identify products and quantify the composition of product mixtures, such as GC, HPLC, NMR, FTIR and UV/VIS spectroscopy
+ Develop experimental methods and apparatuses
+ Assemble, test, and troubleshoot devices, equipment, and control systems
+ Analyze data and prepare experimental and quality control reports
+ Provides training to teach and other staff how to properly use the equipment
+ Provides technical support regarding biomedical equipment
+ Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in R&D projects
+ Create safety documents, submit documentation for safety approval
+ Keep detailed records
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ B.S. in Biomedical or Chemical Engineering
+ 2+ years of related experience
+ Excellent chemical hygiene
+ Ability to work independently with minimal direction
+ Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Experience with microcontroller platforms, such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi, and electronic
+ hardware
+ Experience with prototype fabrication techniques such as 3D printing and machine shop operation
+ Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD Software
+ Experience with data analysis tools (Python, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
+ Experience with medical product development and requirements
+ Experience in wet-lab environment
Physical Demands:
+ Lift 40 pounds
+ Sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time
+ Ascend and descend stairs and ladders

Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 with the complete benefits package.
