POSITION SUMMARY: The Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMETII) performs scheduled maintenance and repairs of a wide variety of medical devices ranging from basic medical technology to sophisticated systems. Examples of these medical devices are; Networked physiological monitoring systems, defibrillators, Medical Laboratory equipment, various Respiratory Therapy equipment, specialized surgical systems, basic X-ray systems, Ultrasound, etc. The BMET II will also provide the following services; incoming equipment inspections, installation, recall & alert activities and calibration & repair of medical devices. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: High School Diploma, Certification from AAMI/ DOD, and 6 years of experience in Electronic, Mechanical, IT, or Healthcare industry OR Associates Degree and 5 years of experience in Electronic, Mechanical, IT, or Healthcare industry Licensure/Certifications: Valid driver’s license CBET or CLES Certification Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
