The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 performs in-house servicing and repair of company products at established company repair site or service center. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures. Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues. May communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair, but generally without direct client contact.

The Opportunity

Repair, inspect, calibrate, maintain and/or install complex biomedical equipment for customers located on the Indianapolis campus and certain external partners, which may require approximately 10% overnight travel

Ensure safe operations and effective performance of equipment by conducting approved programs for quality control and maintenance

Provide technical and logistical support to other department members

Support of the Alternate Inventory program, providing on call support every 6-8 weeks.

Who you are

You hold a High School Diploma.

You have 2 years of technical school or military training or equivalent work experience.

You have 2 years of experience supporting, servicing, repairing and maintaining moderately complex to complex biomedical equipment

Preferred

Requires general knowledge and understanding of electronic theory and principles

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is 49,600.00 - 92,000.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
