Responsibilities

Pursue a career in humankindness and put your specialized skills to work by joining our in-house Clinical Engineering team today! As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) at Holy Cross Hospital-Davis in Layton, Utah, a part of the CommonSpirit Health network, you’ll support patient care by assuring important medical equipment is working properly and accurately. This role allows for health care teams to confidently leverage diagnostic equipment when needed because of the work you do through a combination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs.

Performs significant preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment.Provides equipment repair throughout responsible area.Prioritizes work load effectively with minimal supervision.Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished.Solves organization level customer service issues and complaints with minimal supervisionAssists in the ordering of part and supplies necessary for servicing of equipment.Performs cross training to other technicians on acquired skills.Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.

Holy Cross Hospital - Davis

Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis, now a part of the CommonSpirit Health system, has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have moved toward an environment of whole person care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utah’s growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus. Clinical Engineering manages over 2800 pieces of equipment to support the hospitals and associated clinics mission of healing individuals, uplifting communities.


Qualifications
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or equivalent experience requiredA minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment required Valid Driver’s License requiredCBET preferred
