Summary:
The Biomed Engineer Technician I Performs duties assigned by the Supervisor in accordance with current policies and procedures. Perform preventive maintenance, safety test, incoming inspection, installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and documentation for assigned patient care equipment. Performs assigned duties with close supervision and according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Travel to CHS facilities may be required to perform scheduled / unscheduled maintenance on hospital equipment. Performs all other duties assigned.

Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from accredited college or military medical repair specialist school or equivalent electronic training and experience, required.Required Experience: 0 -2 years of industry experience or military setting with electronics background.Required License/Registration/Certification: Possession of a valid driver’s license.Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Association for the of Medical Instrumentation, AAMI, certification is a plus.Computer Skills Required: Ability to use a word processor, spreadsheet software, and database.Physical Demands:
