Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Bistro Attendant to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. Schedule is Tuesday thru Friday 10:30am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Must be able to work holidays if they fall on your scheduled day to work.
This position will pay up to $19.68/hour. Pay will based upon experience, certifications, skills and education. Must be at least 18 years or older to be considered for this position.

Food/Beverage Preparation
Prepare and sell a variety of coffee drinks.Follow recipes and preparation techniques for espresso, café latte, cappuccino and other types of coffee drinks. Prepare foods such as sandwiches, pizzas and salads. Prepare “grab & go” items such as sandwiches, salads various snack items. Operate POS (point-of-sale) system to process orders and charge accounts.Safety/Sanitation
Maintain cleanliness of the Bistro and work areas throughout the day.Wash and sanitize Bistro dishes. Sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment. Ensure compliance of food safety and handling policies.Inventory Management
Maintain inventories by ensuring coffee bean and brewing supplies are replenished. Assist with ordering inventory by monitoring supplies and equipment. Notify Executive Chef of expected shortages.Other
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Skills & Requirements
Two (2) years of food service experience in a casual dining environment or related experience is required.
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Minimum age of 18 years old required.
