The BIW PLP & Gage Strategy Manager will lead geometry design engineers responsible for the development of BIW GD&T, including BIW Assembly Tool PLP Strategy, measurement strategies, Gage Design & industrialization. The Geometry Design Manager will be responsible to ensure all deliverables are accurate and provided in a timely manner to meet the Product Development & Manufacturing Milestone requirements. They will work closely with the BIW Process & Feasibility Groups as well as the Product Design teams to help insure the successful development and implementation of GD&T, Process Design, & Gaging Strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent 10 or more years of experience with BIW Geometry Design, GD&T, Dimensional Management, and Gage Design) 10 or more years of experience with Sheet Metal Stamping & BIW Assembly Processes Strong leadership and communication skills Management / Supervisory Experience Experience with vehicle systems design, aesthetic & functional objectives, as well as quality requirements to achievePreferred Qualifications:
