Job Title: Blaster Painter Foreman
Rotational Schedule: On-call
Crew Change Location: Various across the Gulf Coast

Responsibilities:

The Coatings Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day field operations concerning surface preparations and coatings application. This includes planning work activities, providing daily work schedules, assigning specific individual task, ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a safe working environment. Other job functions include:

Managing company & customer assets, including personnel, during on-site blasting & painting operations. Performing QA/QC functions in blasting & painting areas of operations ensuring quality workmanship. Attending, participating and conducting pre-job meetings. Attending, participating and conducting safety meetings. Preparing, analyzing and making necessary modifications to JSEA's. Assisting in and/or directing complete job load-outs. Mentoring personnel while providing on-the-job training. Understand, analyze and decipher safety policies & procedures, coating specifications, scopes of work and project schedules while strategizing & communicating project goals & expectations with the crew. Ensuring good housekeeping is being performed through-out the entire project - inside & outside.

Qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years offshore coatings foreman experience. Valid driver’s license. Valid TWIC card. HUET certified. Dependable transportation and phone (home or cell). Must be willing and able to work a 12-16 hour shift per day for the duration of a 14/7 offshore schedule. Must be able to work without cell phone and/or internet communication with friends and family during normal working hours. Must be able to work without tobacco interruptions until scheduled breaks and lunch times. Must be able to work from swinging scaffolding. Must be able to wear a dust mask and/or paint respirator. Must be able to lift objects weighting up to 100 pounds, able to stand, climb, sit, squat, stretch, bend over and/or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to commute offshore via boat and/or helicopter. Must be clean shaven and exhibit good personal hygiene. Manlift and forklift certified. Have the ability, desire and attitude to work as a team member. Be familiar and in compliance with company policies, safety practices, processes & procedures. Must have a clear understanding of how to navigate and decipher the contents of an MSDS book. Adapt to sudden changes concerning project work scopes, while under pressure, provoked by time-constraints and/or inclement weather. Operational knowledge of, and the ability to trouble-shoot, all blasting and painting tools and equipment. Interpersonal skills to cooperate and communicate effectively with others on the job.

 

Desired:

NACE and/or SSPC Training Certification. Experience in the following: UHP Rope Access Experience Plural Paint Units Blast-Trac Airless and Soda Blasting Machinery and Operations
