Job Description
The Mixer Operator is responsible for making batches of material in accordance with customer and company specifications. This role includes weighing materials, cleaning the mixing area, and troubleshooting any mixing problems. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Manager or Group Leader as necessary.
ResponsibilitiesReview Mixing ScheduleProduce batches in mixer as scheduledInspect reconditioned drums prior to useDump batches from mixersCommunicate with the previous mixerman to discuss any irregularities or special instructionsProduce standard production batches by following the Mixing ProcedureStop immediately and notify Group Leader and QA if any abnormalities occurMaintain correct identification on batchesComplete necessary paperwork correctly and timely, including batch tickets and mixing dump reportsInform Manager of any unidentified or mis-identified batches, drums, or raw materials, safety concerns, and maintenance concernsEssential Skills1-3 years of experience in mixing, batching, compounding, chemical handling, machine operation, and blending1-3 years of experience as a Batching OperatorForklift operationProduction and batch documentationAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust be able to lift up to 60lbs repeatedlyComfortable working in a facility with strong odorMust be able to pass a skills key testMust be able to pass an audiogram testHigh school diploma/GED or equivalentPrior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experienceChemical manufacturing experienceForklift experience (optional)Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role is based in a chemical plant primarily producing automotive materials. The environment is climate-controlled, and team members will be exposed to moving equipment, noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Shifts are 8-10 hours long, and mandatory weekend work may be required. Safety PPE, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds, is provided.
