Job Overview

The Blending Technician will execute the delivery of daily blend requirements according to production schedules through the manufacturing of syrup batches from raw materials including water, sugar, and concentrate in compliance with company quality assurance specification requirements. This role will maintain blending and product transfer equipment sanitation requirements to ensure system-wide conformance to quality and sanitation standards; receive concentrate and raw ingredients purchase orders for the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities Execute the delivery of the daily blend requirements according to production schedules; through the manufacturing of syrup batches from raw materials, including water, sugar, and concentrate; ensure adherence to the company quality assurance specification requirements Maintains blending equipment (mixes and syrup tanks) sanitation requirements to ensure system-wide conformance to quality and sanitation standards Carries out the receipt of concentrate and sugar shipments in the inventory management system Maintains and calibrates lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy Maintains testing, sanitation, and equipment calibration records and results and inputs concentrate and sugar receipts through data entry into the Lab Data Management System (LDMS) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures Understanding of a laboratory environment and laboratory practices preferred Basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills Familiar with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) Technology preferred Basic microbial knowledge and aseptic techniques Ability to multitask Basic computer skills and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel  Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs unless specified otherwise by a CBA. Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience Hands-on Microsoft Excel experience Manufacturing experience Work Environment
