Description
Seeking a mechanical engineer to join our effort in revamping our existing lineup of stringing sheaves and accessories to include inventing new products to fill portfolio gaps. The ideal candidate is a self-motivator with a good foundation in computer aided design and mechanical engineering fundamentals. A successful candidate can expect continued access to challenging engineering projects and continued growth while workings as part of one of the top engineering teams in the industry
• Design, prototype and test new sheave concepts based on specific requirements
• Collaborate with other engineers to provide technical solutions for a variety of moderately
complex design problems assigned by more sr engineers
• Responsible for timely completion of tasks and projects while meeting all requirements
• Proficient in creating 2D and 3D geometry using SolidWorks
• Familiar with supporting engineering change requests
• Familiar with industry standards organizations, particularly ASTM, ASME, AWS, and SAE
• Reasonably knowledgeable in designing for manufacturability and manufacturing
processes to aid in design and support the operations team as needed
• Minimum of one years’ experience with finite element analysis (SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with polymers and plastics
• Experience with hydraulics design
• Experience with the design of weldments
• Familiarity with OSHA, FMVSS, and AISC
• Experience designing heavy equipment for over-the-road use

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00
