The Blow Mold Machine Operator operates the blow-mold machine by, among other duties, changing codes, changing and hooking up tanks and completing record-keeping paperwork. (S)he is responsible for Dye and weight checks, cleaning the machine when needed and following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

\n

Essential Duties: 

\n

·       Run blow mold machine and all related equipment

\n

·       Sanitize machines at correct intervals

\n

·       Use a pallet jack to move pallets of cartons into the plant

\n

·       Keep all related equipment running smoothly (i.e. caser, overhead case pusher, stacker)

\n

·       Taste test all product (which is milk-based) that is ran

\n

·       Keep surrounding area clean and inspection ready

\n

·       Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area

\n

·       Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.

\n

·       Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs

\n

·       Follow Quality Assurance standards and collect required samples, as needed, for Quality Assurance testing

\n

·       Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.

\n

·       Follow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.

·       Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

\n

 ·       High school diploma or GED preferred

\n

·       6+ months experience in dairy, manufacturing or another related field preferred

\n

·       Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

\n

·       Fluency in English; speak, read and write

\n

·       Able to work in a cold and wet environment for prolonged periods of time.

\n

·       Must be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from cold to hot

\n

·       Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude and can work and maneuver in tight and awkward areas and positions.

\n

·       Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and communicate mechanical and operational defects as they arise.

\n

·       Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays

\n

Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches. 

\n

Physical Demands: 

\n

·       Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls

\n

·       Regularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

\n

·       Regularly taste or smell milk-based product

\n

·       Occasionally sit and occasionally climb ladders or work on a platform

\n

·       Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
