Job Overview:
The Blow Molding Technical Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all blow mold machine and technical processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. This role includes managing technical teams, optimizing workflow, reducing waste, and partnering with operations to ensure timely delivery of finished goods while improving all aspects of the blow molding production process. The manager will work closely with other departments, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to drive operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Equipment & Maintenance: Direct maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of blow molding machinery and scheduled preventative maintenance.Process Enhancement: Develop and implement process improvements to maximize productivity and reduce waste.Quality Control: Ensure strict adherence to product quality standards and industry compliance.Leadership & Development: Train, mentor, and lead the maintenance team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and regulatory compliance across all maintenance functions.Cost Efficiency: Monitor budgets and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising product quality.Performance Tracking: Analyze production metrics and prepare reports on machine performance, identifying areas for improvement.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to improve overall plant operations.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.At least 5 years of experience in blow molding maintenance or plastic manufacturing.Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.In-depth knowledge of blow molding equipment, maintenance, and production techniques.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in manufacturing management software and reporting tools.Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.Adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with quality management systems such as ISO or GMP.Familiarity with automation and robotics in blow molding operations.Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance procedures.Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
