Blown Film Extrusion Operator III – All Shifts
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Set-up and tends film extrusion machinery as specified by performing the following duties. This position provides the ability to operate and train on Blown Film Extrusion machine. Blown Film Shift Lead will fill the responsibilities of Film & Extrusion Operator III when vacant.

Participates in Shift Hand Off Tier Meetings Employee must follow all Personal Safety Rules Understand and follows the basics of 5S Complete chemical training. Must adhere to “Stop and Fix” measures. Must follow FIFO process. Understand the fundamentals and Blown Film Definitions. Complete LOTO and Hoist Training. Understands and follows CHL Escalation Plan and Process. Understands/Performs actions in DAS – input, notes, recall, order change. Understands/Reads Quality Control Plan and Types of QCPs Perform Quality Tests: Measuring Average Guage, Point to Point, Film Width and Roll Hardness. Identify Film and Roll Visual Defects Understand/Perform ALL Virtual Client Functions Bubble Stabilization Product Set-up (Size & Mil 1 & 2) Understand how to set and turn on the Treater. Treater Verification. Ability to perform Changeovers. Webbing (String-up) an Extruder and Winder. Splits – Easy, Reverse, Roll Understands/Interprets a Production Order. Complete Full set of Shift Production Paperwork. Understand and Interprets SOCs (Paper and HMI). Introduction to Core Cutter. Perform all CIL checklist daily, weekly items. Silos - understands process, functions, and duties. Must know set points and acceptable tolerances. Understands/Performs core cutter tasks, and regrind. Bubble start up – Mono Cold start up – Mono Cold shut down – Mono Ability to turn heat on and off. Adjusting temperature profile. Operation and Programming of Receiver Pump, Mono Entering a bland recipe (Mini-op/Mono) Introduction to Turbo Start.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D required.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in bag making preferred. Forklift license and training certification required. Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Power Point presentations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate mean, median, and mode, and apply SPC to the quality processes Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Virtual Client to perform effectively in daily activities Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequently standing, walking and sitting. Frequently required the use of hands to finger, feel, reach or handle machinery. Frequently bend, stoop and reach. Moderate working conditions. Exposure to variable noise levels. Often exposed to moving mechanical parts.
