Blythe- Asset Manager
**Job Description** Position Summary The Asset Manager is responsible for the monitoring and analysis of current energy market trends and conditions and will work with plant scheduling coordinator to ensure optimal performance of Blythe Energy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the California energy markets, financial analysis, and procurement processes, ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of our facilities. Tasks and Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze energy market trends, prices, and regulations to identify opportunities and risks. • Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and profitability of power plant operations. • Work closely with plants scheduling coordinator developing daily bid strategies. • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. • Develop, manage, and execute procurement strategies for equipment, services, and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. • Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management, including operational, financial, and market risks. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, suppliers, and other key partners. • Prepare and present regular reports on asset performance, financial metrics, and market conditions to senior management. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred • 5+ Years in asset management within the energy sector (preferably California market), with a focus on combined cycle power plants and procurement. • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. • In-depth knowledge of energy markets and regulatory environments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, financial analysis software, procurement systems). • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. We offer a competitive salary range of $130,500 to $179,625 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
