Summary

JOB SUMMARY

With minimal supervision, performs repair and scheduled maintenance on electrical/electronic and/or mechanical patient care and non-patient care equipment. Performs safety checks, as needed, on rental and/or demo electrical and/or mechanical equipment, receptacles and personal electrical equipment for both patients and Associates. Performs testing of newly purchased equipment and inputting the information in the equipment database software. Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt. May be assigned special projects as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree A.A. in general electronics or BioMedical electronics. Proven equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education at the discretion of the hiring manager. Prior experience as a BMET I in a hospital or equivalent work as a BioMed or electronics technician in field service work. Required
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to use various hand tools and test equipment to perform safety testing, scheduled maintenance and/or repair on various pieces of patient care and non-patient care electronic and/or mechanical equipment to comply with regulatory requirements. Must have documentation skills, skills to analyze information and good time management skills. FLEET SAFETY PREFERRED
