Board Certified Behavior Analyst – The Grove Pediatrics

This job provides supervision and direct, one-to-one treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to attempt to remediate communication, academic, social and behavioral skills for each individual patient. This job will be responsible for assessment, development, and monitoring of patient treatment plans and behavior support plans. Additionally, this job will provide parent training to ensure parents are acquiring skills necessary for program continuity into the home and community settings, review Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Line Technician performance, and provide group social skills training.

Education

Required – Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis

Work Experience

Required – 1-year experience in the provision of direct patient services in a social service, mental health, rehabilitation facility or related allied health care setting.

Certifications

Required – Board Certified Behavior Analyst obtained through Behavior Analyst Certification Board and Licensed Behavior Analyst through Behavior Analyst Board in the state of practice

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process

Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry

Must have strong organizational and time management skills

Strong interpersonal skills.

Must have a high level of professionalism

Must have knowledge of principles of Applied Behavior Analysis applicable to care and treatment of children with behavioral and developmental concerns

Job Duties

Provide direct, therapeutic services to patients via parent skills training, direct one-to-one therapy, and/or group social skills training.

Maintain designated workspaces (e.g., computer station, assigned treatment rooms) by organizing, cleaning, and/or supplying appropriate materials

Assess, develop, and monitor progress of patient treatment plans

Supervise ABA Line Technicians

Provide personalized at home guidance for parents and caregivers.

Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

Other related duties as required.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
