What is the SPARC Program?

Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center is a department of the Devereux organization, offering empirically-validated behavior treatment programs for individuals with autism, as well as individuals with behavioral concerns or other developmental disabilities.  SPARC’s values and clinical strategies align strongly with our 107-year-old organization and mission, which is focused on changing lives by unlocking and nurturing human potential for people living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences.

 

In this role you will:

Provide school consultation to public and private schools in Delaware and northern MarylandConduct FBAs and develop behavior support plans for individual students engaging in high risk behaviorTrain teachers and paraeducators to implement behavior plans. Monitor fidelity of implementation and track progressGive trainings to school-based staff on behavioral interventionsProvide systems-level consultation to special education programs serving students with intensive needs. Work with school leadership to define universal educational practices for autistic support and other specialized settings.

Qualifications Master’s degree from a behaviorally-based, accredited college/university in special education, psychology or other related field;Must hold a current BCBA certification;Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the direct delivery of behavior analytic services to people with autism spectrum disorders/behavioral challenges as a BCBA and at least 1-year experience consulting/working within a school preferred.
