Being a  Part- Time Contractor BCBA with Devereux’s Center for Effective Schools (CES) has its Advantages!

This role will offer you:

An opportunity to work with a collaborative team of BCBAs, with a track record of providing high quality services and presenting at regional and national conferences.Options for professional development and role expansion within our growing educational services.The ability to work school-based hours while being supported by a strong behavioral team.This is an independent contractor role.  It is a part- time role two or three days a week.

The Center for Effective Schools (CES) is a non-profit research and training center dedicated to building the capacity of schools and other child-serving institutions to better serve children and adolescents with, and at risk for developing, emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD). This mission is accomplished through training, consultation and applied research. The CES is a division of Devereux’s Institute of Clinical and Professional Training and Research. Established in 1999, the CES is located in King of Prussia, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. From its inception, the primary focus of the organization was and continues to be addressing the needs of children with and at risk for EBD and their families by promoting effective practices, informed by scientific evidence, to improve lives. The CES utilizes an “indirect” service delivery approach whether working at the individual or systems level. The theoretical foundation of this work is based in applied behavior analysis and positive behavior support and, to the extent possible, delivered within a preventative or early intervening framework.

 

In this role you will:

Provide school consultation to public school based in Woodbridge school districtConduct FBAs and develop behavior support plans for individual students engaging in high risk behaviorTrain teachers and paraeducators to implement behavior plans. Monitor fidelity of implementation and track progressGive trainings to school-based staff on behavioral interventionsProvide systems-level consultation to special education programs serving students with intensive needs. Work with school leadership to define universal educational practices for autistic support and other specialized settings.

Qualifications Master’s degree from a behaviorally-based, accredited college/university in special education, psychology or other related field;Must hold a current BCBA certification;Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the direct delivery of behavior analytic services to people with autism spectrum disorders/behavioral challenges as a BCBA and at least 1-year experience consulting/working within a school preferred.
