BoatUS Marketing Manager
The marketing manager is responsible for activities related to growing BoatUS Association and Towing. They manage a team of associates responsible for one or more areas within the Marketing Department, to include: print, digital, public relations, partnerships, social, database and creative to support the organization’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. INTERVIEWS and/or APPROVES job applicants for employment. CONDUCTS and/or REVIEWS associate performance appraisals. INITIATES or APPROVES salary adjustments, performance ratings, and other personnel changes.
2. MANAGES internal staff and external partners to develop and implement public relations, advertising and marketing campaigns.
3. PREPARES department business plans and budgets. DEVELOPS plans to achieve growth objectives. ANALYZES membership trends and data to develop budget goals as well as strategy and implementation plan to achieve those goals.
4. TRACKS monthly retention statistics and develop and implement outreach strategies to lapse members to improve overall retention.
5. DEFINES and communicates our member value proposition for various audience/member segments. Collaborates with marketing team to promote programs, and track program usage and engagement.
6. MAINTAINS brand integrity in all creative materials. GUIDES the preparation of advertising materials in conjunction with staff and advertising partners.
7. UTLIZES content to acquire and retain BoatUS Members and increase brand awareness. Collaborate with team to use social media to support retention/recruitment efforts and to deliver value to members and customers.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreeMinimum of seven years of membership and marketing experienceBoating industry experience highly preferredA result- based track record of membership, growth, retention and implementing creative membership campaignsPeople management experience requiredPerformance marketing mindset to work toward goals and targetsComfortable producing a high volume of work in a deadline driven environmentWell versed in gathering data and developing qualitative insights to develop strategic plansSelf-starter with the confidence and ability to tackle new initiatives with little guidance
