Job Title: Body PE Machine Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Body PE Machine Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to inspect and confirm new or modified equipment and prepare that equipment for manufacturing production. This includes on-site robot programming and interlocking, as well as confirming that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended. The specialist will prepare and confirm new Body weld equipment at vendors and support weld machine activities at North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs) from installation to the start of production. Additionally, the role involves developing equipment countermeasures during setup/trials and requires extensive travel to U.S., Canada, Mexico, and occasionally Japan. The candidate must be comfortable working overtime, including weekends and holidays, with up to 70% travel.

This is a fully on-site position in Princeton, Indiana.

Work Environment

80% of the time is spent on field activity, with 20% on offline programming. The field activity includes running paint quality trials (film builds, color, and wave scan), adjusting paint gun on/off timings, and conducting UBC, sealer, and dampening coat quality trials and adjustments (film thickness, coverage, and mass). The offline programming involves creating programs for robots to be uploaded into equipment later on for manufacturing processes. The work schedule typically follows standard working hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends depending on project needs. Work hours may fluctuate during the week depending on project requirements. Expect 50-70% travel.
