Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boiler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in the maintenance, operation, and repair of centralized boiler and chiller equipment, with at least three years of experience in a large complex Central Plant capable of producing over 500 boiler horsepower high-pressure steam heating capacity and 400 tons centrifugal chiller produced cooling capacity that supports specialized facilities such as a hospital.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor, operate, and maintain high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, feed water systems, steam and chilled water distribution, and chemical treatment systems.Perform maintenance and repair of boiler and chiller equipment in a Central Plant.Operate and maintain central plant DDC control systems.Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.Possess a current Stationary Engineer’s license from a city, state, or nationally recognized entity, such as the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) First Class Engineer or equivalent, within the second year of employment for high-pressure steam plant operation.Essential SkillsMinimum of five years of relevant experience in boiler and chiller equipment maintenance, operation, and repair.At least three years of experience in a large complex Central Plant.Working knowledge of boiler and chiller equipment operation, maintenance, and repair for a Central Plant.Skilled in monitoring, operating, and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, feed water systems, steam and chilled water distribution, and chemical treatment systems.Current Stationary Engineer’s license from a recognized entity within two years of employment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Steam Boilers in any industry.Boiler License.Experience in HVAC, Commercial Plant Engineering, and Preventive Maintenance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is located on Camp Pendleton. The work environment includes working with various boiler and chiller equipment, and the standard dress code applies. Shift work is required, with available 2nd and 3rd shifts.
