**Job Title: Boiler Room Operator Trainee**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Boiler Room Operator Trainee to join our team. This role involves working in a control room, monitoring equipment, and using hand and power tools to manage wood chips. The position follows a 7 PM to 7 AM 2-2-3 shift pattern, with initial 90 day training conducted from 7 AM to 7 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule There is a possibility of a pay increase after 30 days, depending on qualifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a control room and monitor equipment performance.
+ Use hand and power tools to manage wood chips and maintain equipment.
+ Operate an L60H loader to add fuel to fuel chains, load trucks with chips, and move fuel from the block yard to the fluid flame area.
+ Make critical decisions about the process independently.
+ Cover vacation shifts for fellow operators (shift will be 7 PM to 7 AM on those days).
+ Understand and follow the standard operating procedures for the assigned area of responsibility by reading provided materials and discussing processes with supervisors.
+ Participate in safety meetings and work in a safe manner.
+ Participate in scheduled shutdowns to maintain equipment.
+ Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures while reporting potential safety hazards.
+ Demonstrate initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
+ Adhere to the company’s code of conduct.
+ Understand and follow verbal and written instructions and/or specifications.
+ Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or lead.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with machine operation and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to operate an L60H loader safely.
+ Critical decision-making skills.
+ Knowledge of hand tools such as battery drills, impact tools, ratchets, wrenches, pry bars, screwdrivers, and channel locks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong initiative and sense of urgency.
+ Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
+ Willingness to participate in safety meetings and adhere to safety guidelines.
+ Ability to participate in scheduled equipment maintenance shutdowns.
