Bonds & Claims Associate

The Bonds & Claims Associate is a new position that will support both the Claims and Surety departments of Marsh McLennan Agency’s Northeast region.  In this role, you will work with both the Senior Vice President of Surety and the Director of Claims in Worcester, MA.  The Bonds & Claims Associate will be responsible for the administrative functions of the departments assisting with client invoicing, electronic filing and recording client data as well as responding to client claims inquiries. In this role you will gain exposure to creating bond documents and coordinating delivery to clients. The person that will thrive in this role will have high attention to detail, and the ability to balance deliverables across both departments.


This position is onsite in the 100 Front St, Worcester, MA location.

A day in the life. 

•    Work alongside department leaders and specialists to complete the administrative functions of the Claims and Surety departments
•    Create invoices for new and renewal bonds and endorsements in the Sagitta system and coordinate delivery of invoices to clients
•    File client Surety information in MMA agency management systems, ImageRight and e-files
•    Update and maintain client activity data sheets in Excel
•    Assist with the processing of bonds including typing of documents, obtaining original signatures, notarizations, affixing corporate seals and coordinating the mailing/delivery of bonds to clients
•    Interacts with clients to receive claims information and provides guidance and assistance as needed
•    Reviews and updates scheduled status and financial reports for open client claims.
•    Handles questions, problems or complaints from insured clients, producers or claimants in a professional manner.

•    High attention to detail and the ability to focus for extended periods of time
•    Prior experience in an administrative or client-focused role preferred
•    Excellent typing skills using Microsoft Word and Outlook
•    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF Form Creator and Form Filler 
•    Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and a comfort with working in a fast-paced environment
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills
•    Demonstrated prior experience in learning new processes and procedures
•    Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment, during core office hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (eastern standard time)
