JOB DESCRIPTION

The Story with Martha MacCallum is seeking an experienced Booker to join the team. The ideal candidate is an energetic and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude who will build upon prior relationships with high-profile guests to deliver strong newsmakers and exclusive interviews. As a booker, you strive in a competitive, breaking news environment with experience in the control room and in the field. 

You will be offered the following shift:

8:00 AM ET-4:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday

Book guests under the deadline pressure of a daily live show

Track down difficult-to-find people using social media & other tools

Book guests for “The Untold Story” Podcast

Pitch unique stories and guests of interest 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior television (or similar) experience

Understanding that the news never stops, and some work may be required outside regular hours

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $75,000.00-86,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $62,500.00-71,600.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
