Bookkeeper
Description A company in the Hollywood area is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper with payroll experience to manage and oversee our company's financial data and compliance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing and effectively contributing to the organization's bookkeeping, invoicing, and payroll functions. Responsibilities and Duties: + Maintain and update financial records including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and payroll. + Manage and oversee the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. + Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate financial control procedures. + Prepare and manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. + Ensure company financial systems are maintained and updated as needed. + Reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts. + Collaborate with financial auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. + Coordinate with the HR department to verify the accuracy of employee data. + Work closely with the finance manager to create and analyze financial reports. Requirements Qualifications: + Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + Proven experience as a bookkeeper with payroll experience. + Exceptional knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures, payroll procedures, and general ledger systems. + Experience with accounting software, Excel, and other related programs. + Strong knowledge of business and income tax worksheets and computations. + Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. + Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen. + Strong understanding of confidentiality for sensitive financial and payroll information. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines. + Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
