Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Brooklyn, New York. The Bookkeeper will be entrusted with the responsibilities of handling various financial transactions, keeping financial records updated and preparing reports. The job requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, solid data entry skills, and a knack for numbers. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). • Conduct regular account reconciliation to maintain accuracy in financial records. • Utilize QuickBooks for tracking and managing financial transactions. • Perform data entry operations to keep financial information updated. • Facilitate month end close procedures to ensure timely reporting. • Administer payroll procedures in accordance with company policies. • Employ Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting. • Oversee bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. • Maintain bookkeeping practices to support the financial infrastructure of the company.
