Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the IT Software industry, based in NORWALK, Connecticut. The chosen candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks including account reconciliations, transaction recordings and working within a team-based environment. Responsibilities: • Manage the process of account reconciliations, with a predominant focus on bank and credit card reconciliations. • Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all transactions. • Contribute to a team-based environment, working with a range of accounting personnel. • Display proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and accounting software. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Exhibit excellent attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors. • Prove experience in bookkeeping, ideally within financial services. Requirements • Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the IT Software industry. • Proficient in using various accounting software and platforms. • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in performing bank reconciliations. • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • High degree of accuracy and ability to handle confidential information. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Understanding of IT software industry trends and financial regulations. • A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred. • Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge in line with industry developments.
